Grace Dent is from Vancouver, British Columbia. She graduated from U.B.C. in Psychology (B.A.) in 1997 and received honors in Counselling Psychology (M.A.) from Trinity Western University in 2001. Her longitudinal research was in measuring The Efficacy of Group Psychotherapy For Improving Children's Adjustment During the Divorce Transition.
She is a parent and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and a professional member of the Association for Behavior and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT). She is insured as a clinical psychotherapist in her private practice, Cobblestone Counselling & Coaching. As well, Grace provides mental health therapy for youth and family clients for Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.
Grace is specialized in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which is a combination of dialectics, behaviorism, and Zen principles to support individuals in a validated, collaborative, and skill building manner.
